The Doppelgänger Tapes are an ongoing series of performances that began in 1983 in the Philippines, in Mati, Davao Oriental. For the series, Carroll has a doppelgänger or is the doppelgänger for someone or arranges for an individual to be the doppelgänger of another individual. The most recent performance in the series was on Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Berlin at the Museum The Kennedys for Carroll’s formal presentation for the American Academy in Berlin.
